Connect Snowflake to fenbs

This connection requires admin setup. A Snowflake account admin, or someone they give the required permissions, must add fenbs and grant your role access. It is not available in the People’s Republic of China. The steps below use the MCP connectors page in CoCo in Snowsight.

  1. Ask your admin to open Snowsight, then the User icon at the bottom left. Open Settings, then MCP Connectors under Account.
  2. Have them add a custom MCP connector with the URL below and OAuth. Snowflake’s connector guide gives the full Dynamic Client Registration setup, including SQL if needed.
  3. Your admin must give your role access to the connector and its API integration.
  4. In CoCo, open +, then the MCP Connectors page. Choose fenbs, sign in to fenbs and approve.
  5. Ask CoCo: “What is on my fenbs kanban board?”

Follow Snowflake’s custom MCP connector and admin setup (opens in a new tab) and using connectors in CoCo (opens in a new tab) guides. If fenbs is missing, your account admin must finish setup and grant access first. Set it up in fenbs.

What to save from a Snowflake session, and how the next AI picks it up

Ask CoCo to save the useful conclusions in fenbs before you end the session. Write down what changed, what you checked and what the next assistant should do. Include a reason for a decision rather than making the next person infer it from a long conversation.

  • The task and where to find the code or query you changed.
  • Which checks ran, their results and anything still untested.
  • An agreed approach and any alternative you ruled out.
  • The next action, including a question or access request still open.

Start the next session by asking the connected AI to read fenbs. CoCo or another connected assistant can then pick up the saved conclusions. Save an account of the work, rather than credentials or account data; Snowflake remains the place where that data and its permissions are managed.

How fenbs helps

Never lose the work you did in an AI session

After a useful AI session, save it in fenbs: the key observations, findings, research and context. Then carry on from exactly where you left off, on any device and in any other AI. The next AI you connect reads it at the start of the session, so you never have to explain the same problem again.

Which Snowflake connection this describes

This is the admin-governed connector used from CoCo in Snowsight. Snowflake also documents CoCo CLI MCP servers (opens in a new tab), with separate commands and admin controls. Its own MCP server for outside assistants is a different connection direction. The current coding-product documentation (opens in a new tab) calls the product CoCo, while older routes retain Cortex Code in their names.

Questions people ask.

Do I need to be a Snowflake account admin to use fenbs?

An account admin, or someone with the required delegated permissions, must set up the connector and API integration. They then grant your role access so you can connect. Setup permissions are not the same as the permissions every user needs afterward.

Is this connection available in China?

No. This connection is not available in the People’s Republic of China.

Why can I not see fenbs in CoCo?

Ask your account admin to finish connector setup and grant your role access to both the connector and its API integration. You then sign in to fenbs yourself.

Are these the steps for CoCo CLI?

No. These steps use the MCP connectors page in CoCo in Snowsight. CoCo CLI has separate MCP commands and configuration, and administrators can restrict the servers users add.
