What does priority mean on a fenbs board?
Priority is how soon, from P1 (now) to P10 (whenever). It is a number on the task, not a lane, and it is the second thing the board is sorted by.

Priority says how soon a task should be done, from P1 — the most urgent — to P10 — whenever. It is a number on the task, separate from the lane. The lane says where the work is; the priority says how much it matters. A P1 in To Do is more important than a P8 in In Progress, and the board shows both truths at once.
Why ten steps, not three
With High, Medium and Low, everything that matters becomes High within a month, and High stops meaning anything. Ten steps leave room between “drop everything” (P1) and “important this week” (P3), so the urgent tasks stay few. What people actually filter by is the band: High is P1 to P2, Medium P3 to P5, Low P6 to P10.
On a phone
The fenbs phone app asks a simpler question — Urgent, Normal or Later — and writes the middle of each band (P2, P5, P8). A finer priority set on the web is kept until somebody changes it on the phone. Ten buttons on a phone would be a keyboard.
The one habit
If more than a handful of open tasks are P1, none of them is. Push some down. An AI assistant on the board can be asked to list the P1s and say which have been P1 the longest.
