How to Export Genspark AI Slides to an Editable Deck

Use the editable deck workspace to export Genspark AI Slides, choose a page range, and check the presentation before handing it to someone else.

Updated 5 min read

To export Genspark AI Slides, open the editable deck and choose Export in the header’s right-hand action row. Choose PPTX when you need a presentation file to edit, or select another documented format for the intended recipient. Downloadable exports require a paid plan; a shared preview is not the export workspace.

Before handing over the file, check its pages, notes, and layout in the app where it will be used. fenbs can keep the review result and remaining changes so you can continue from the same point with another supported assistant.

Where is Export in the presentation workspace?

The AI Slides guide (opens in a new tab) documents PDF, PPTX, and Google Slides exports. These web instructions begin from an editable deck, not an embedded preview or anonymous share viewer.

  1. Open the deck in its editable workspace.
  2. Choose Export in the header’s right-hand action row.
  3. In Export Slides, choose Format.
  4. Choose All pages, or Custom range and enter From/To.
  5. Complete the export, then open the result in the destination app and inspect it.

Decide the recipient and purpose before selecting the range. If a colleague needs the full narrative, a small selection may omit the assumptions behind the conclusion. If the request is only for a review excerpt, include enough surrounding material for the excerpt to make sense. Write down exactly which pages you intended to send.

Which format fits the handoff?

Choose the format around what the recipient must do next. An editable handoff and a fixed review copy serve different needs. Avoid choosing solely by file size or familiarity if it means the next person cannot complete the requested work.

Choose an export by the next action
FormatUseful whenCheck after export
PPTXThe recipient needs a presentation file to editEditable content, speaker notes, and layout
PDFThe recipient needs a fixed copy to read or reviewPage order, readable text, and complete content
Google SlidesThe next stage belongs in that presentation appAccess, content, and appearance in the destination

Do not assume that an editable deck makes every visual element editable in the way you expect. Try changing a heading and inspect one important chart or diagram in the exported result. This small check tells you more about the particular deck than an export confirmation alone.

Why is Export missing or disabled?

First check the workspace, plan eligibility, and page range. Genspark requires an eligible paid plan for downloads; its free plan supports browser presentation and live-link sharing. Check the linked AI Slides guide for current eligibility. An invalid custom range keeps Export disabled.

If you opened a link someone sent, establish whether you are viewing the editable source or a preview. Ask the deck owner for the right access or an exported file rather than repeatedly searching the preview for a download button. Confirming the intended source also helps avoid exporting an outdated copy.

For a disabled range, compare the requested first and last pages with the deck itself. Start with All pages to remove an accidental range mistake from the diagnosis. A browser change cannot turn an ineligible account into an eligible one, so settle that distinction before troubleshooting the download.

What if an eligible deck still will not download?

Genspark recommends reopening or refreshing, checking browser download blocking, trying Chrome or Edge, and testing another export format. Change one thing at a time so you can tell which step affected the result.

Keep the original deck available while you test. Note whether the failure occurs before export, during generation, or when saving the file. If PDF succeeds and PPTX fails, report that difference. If every format fails, record that instead of describing the whole problem as a damaged slide.

Before sharing a deck with support, review its contents and who will receive access. A presentation can contain unpublished material, private notes, or source details that were never meant for a wider audience. Follow your organization’s approved support process and share only what it permits.

What should you inspect in the exported deck?

Open the result in the app the recipient will actually use. Compare it with the source deck, starting with the title page, a dense content page, a chart, and the final page. Then scan every page for missing content. A successful file save proves delivery, not that the presentation is ready.

  • Page selection: the count and order match the range you intended.
  • Text: headings, labels, and footnotes remain readable and complete.
  • Visuals: charts, images, and diagrams support the same meaning as the source.
  • Editing: the recipient can make the changes the handoff requires.
  • Notes: presenter material is present where expected and appropriate for the audience.

Speaker notes are included in PPTX exports. Inspect them before sending the file, especially if your working notes contain reminders intended only for you. Keep factual review separate from layout review: a chart can look perfect while showing the wrong comparison period. Record both kinds of check in fenbs when more work remains.

How do you preserve the right version for later?

Use a filename that identifies the purpose and review state. “Client review, awaiting approval” is more informative than a string of final-version suffixes. Keep a link to the editable source and note the export format and selected range. If someone changes the deck later, you can tell which copy a comment concerns.

For a separate editable copy inside Genspark, use the workspace ⋮ → Make a Copy. For file organization outside the deck workflow, the AI Drive guide (opens in a new tab) documents file selection, Rename, Move, and Download. A copy and an exported presentation serve different purposes; keep their names distinct.

If the presentation depends on a generated spreadsheet, use the Genspark spreadsheet download checks for that source file. For narrative supporting material, see Genspark note review. Do not let a polished slide replace the underlying source check.

How fenbs helps

Never lose the work you did in an AI session

After a useful AI session, save it in fenbs: the key observations, findings, research and context. Then carry on from exactly where you left off, on any device and in any other AI. The next AI you connect reads it at the start of the session, so you never have to explain the same problem again.

How to keep deck handoffs with fenbs

Keep the review and next step so you can carry on from exactly where you left off, on any device and in another supported AI. The next session should know which deck to use and which changes still need a person’s approval.

  1. Create a free account.
  2. Add a task for the deck handoff. Write where the source and exported copy are kept.
  3. Save which pages you exported, what you checked, and what still needs changing. Record approval only when a person gives it.
  4. Connect a supported assistant through Integrations. Ask it to read the saved work before helping with revisions.

fenbs does not export Genspark slides or repair presentation files. It is not the right fit for a single download with no continuing work. It helps preserve the checked state across sessions; portable AI memory explains that need.

For the separate question of recalling stored material, see Genspark second-brain workflows. Browse the AI at work hub for more ways to keep generated output useful after the session ends.

Questions people ask.

Does downloading a presentation use credits?

Genspark says export does not consume credits. AI generation does. Download eligibility and credit usage are separate questions.

Can I download a deck made on Free after upgrading?

Genspark documents that a saved Free-plan deck becomes exportable after upgrading to an eligible plan. Check the editable deck rather than assuming the original work is lost.

Are speaker notes included in PPTX?

Yes. Genspark documents speaker notes in PPTX exports. Review the exported notes before sending the presentation to someone else.

Does exporting prove the deck is ready for a client?

No. Check the exported pages, layout, facts, and notes in the intended destination app. Keep remaining approvals and corrections clear before sharing.
