How to Delete Pages in Microsoft 365 Copilot
Find the Copilot Page you own, delete the actual page, and check the result. Save the decisions you still need before removing a shared working draft.

To delete a page in Microsoft 365 Copilot, find it in Library, select the Pages tab, and use the Delete action for that page. Check that you are removing the page itself, because hiding a shortcut or deleting a conversation is a different cleanup task.
Before discarding a working page, deliberately save any approved decisions that the project still needs. fenbs can hold that project record, with History showing who changed it, while you clean up the draft in Microsoft 365.
How do you delete a Copilot Page you created?
- Sign in to microsoft365.com with the account that created the page. Check your name and profile picture before looking for the file.
- Select Library in the left navigation, then select the Pages tab.
- Open the All sources filter and choose Created by you. Find the intended page by its title, then open it to verify its contents.
- Return to its Library entry and use the Delete action available for that page. Read any confirmation shown before completing the deletion.
- Refresh the list and test the original page link. Record what you can actually observe rather than treating a missing sidebar entry as proof.
Microsoft documents the Library and Created by you filters (opens in a new tab), and its Copilot Library guide (opens in a new tab) confirms that Pages entries can be deleted. The guide does not prescribe one universal button position, so follow the page action shown in your interface.
Are you removing a page, a shortcut, or a chat?
Decide what you want gone before selecting a menu command. A page is the content people edit. A navigation shortcut is a route to that content, and a conversation is the discussion that may have produced it. Similar titles do not make them the same object.
| Your goal | What to check |
|---|---|
| Remove the working page | Use Delete for the verified page, then test its original link. |
| Reduce navigation clutter | A remove, hide, or unpin action concerns the entry you selected; check the page separately. |
| Remove a conversation | Manage that chat separately and verify any page created from it. |
| Change who can see a page | Review page sharing and permissions with its owner. |
Microsoft explains that a Copilot Page is a saved file and can also be opened through Loop in its Pages FAQ (opens in a new tab). For adjacent questions, use the guides to Microsoft 365 Copilot, Pages versus Notebooks, or clearing Copilot memory.
What should you save before deleting a shared draft?
Keep the outcome of the work if it still matters. Read the page and separate a person's approval from an AI suggestion, an unresolved comment, or a rejected option. A polished paragraph can contain all four, and copying it without labels carries the confusion into the next project session.
- The decision: what a person approved, who approved it, and the reason.
- The evidence: source links that remain useful and accessible after this page goes.
- The remaining work: the next task, an unanswered question, or a check that has not happened.
- The replacement: where teammates should find the current material.
For example, a design studio might delete a rough comparison page after choosing a supplier. Keep the chosen supplier, the person who approved it, and the unresolved delivery question. In fenbs, Decisions and rules and History preserve that deliberately recorded outcome without requiring everyone to keep using the discarded draft.
How can you check the effect on shared access?
Identify where you shared the page before removing it. Microsoft's page sharing guide (opens in a new tab) distinguishes a page link from an interactive component pasted into another Microsoft 365 app. It also explains that colleagues can access page content without access to your Copilot chat.
After deletion, open the original link in a fresh tab while signed in to the intended account. If a colleague depended on the page, ask them to check their existing link too. Tell them where any replacement lives so a broken link does not become an unexplained interruption.
Treat that as an access check, not proof that every copy of the information has vanished. Someone may already have copied text into another document. If your goal is to restrict sharing while preserving the page, review permissions with the owner instead of using deletion as a substitute for that review.
Why is Delete missing, or why does the page still appear?
Start with the account and the page identity. Check whether you are viewing a page shared by someone else, a similarly named draft, or a shortcut. If Delete is unavailable, ask the page owner or your Microsoft 365 administrator to identify the correct removal route; do not delete a containing workspace to compensate.
A missing feature also does not establish that its files were deleted. Microsoft's administration guide (opens in a new tab) says disabling creation of Pages and Notebooks leaves existing content in place. Ask your administrator about the actual page when navigation or organizational settings change.
If the page still opens, capture its title, link, signed-in account, and the action you selected for support. Avoid repeatedly deleting items with similar names. Our Copilot versus ChatGPT guide helps distinguish the apps, while Copilot instruction examples cover instructions you may want to retain separately.
How to do this with fenbs
- Create a free account, then add the project whose working page you plan to discard.
- Record the decisions a person actually made in Decisions and rules, including who chose and why. Leave unresolved choices open.
- Add the surviving source links and create tasks for the work that remains. Save Where we left off with the next action and the location of the replacement material.
- Connect a supported AI app using its Integrations setup guide. Ask it to read the project context and explain the saved decision before continuing the work.
fenbs does not delete Copilot Pages or import them automatically. It is useful when the important work must survive beyond a draft or one AI app; if you only want to remove an unused page, Microsoft 365 already provides that action.
Keep the decision when the working page goes
Save the approved outcome, its reason, and the remaining task in fenbs before removing the draft. History records changes and who made them, so the next connected assistant can check the project record instead of reconstructing it from a missing page.

What should your final cleanup check include?
Confirm three things: you selected the right page, you checked the original link after deletion, and the team knows where useful work continues. If recovery is needed, stop further cleanup and contact the owner or support before removing anything else. Keep the distinction between deleted, inaccessible, and simply hidden clear in your notes.
